Guest Services Assistant

The Copthorne Hotel Plymouth is seeking Casual Guest Services Assistants to assist during night shifts:

Responsibilities include:

· This is a cross-skilled, multi-functional role that will work across 3 areas of the hotel; Front Office Reception) Housekeeping and Food & Beverage (Bar and Restaurant).

· The role will provide a well-rounded, flexible hospitality service to clients and a broad range of experience and skills to the candidates. This is an ideal role for those starting out in hospitality or those that have experience in one area and want to broaden their experience within the industry.

· No experience is necessary; as full training will be provided across the 3 skill set areas.

· Successful candidates will be well presented, reliable, polite and customer service driven

· Team working, communication and organisation are key to being successful at this role.

· Computer skills are required.

Example of Duties

· Front Office duties will include welcoming guests, check in staff, checking out staff, dealing with customer requests, answering the phone, taking bookings etc. (this is an example of activities undertaken on the front office and is not exhaustive)

· Housekeeping duties will include preparing bedrooms, linen, changes, stock replenishing, public area cleaning. (This is an example of activities undertaken in Housekeeping and is not exhaustive)

· Food and Beverage duties will include taking orders, serving breakfast/ lunch/ dinner, bar service etc. (This is not exhaustive but is an example of duties)

The hotel offers 135 guest rooms, ranging from Standard, Club and Deluxe.
