The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie.

The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is seeking for a Chef de Partie who will be responsible for overseeing a section of the kitchen to ensure that it runs smoothly and in accordance with four star standards and guest expectations.

As Chef de Partie your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare mise-en-place for all menus.
  • Prepare, cook and present food as per kitchen manual, including staff meals.
  • Ensure correct portion control as instructed by Head Chef.
  • Prepare all dishes as instructed by Head and/or Sous Chef.
  • Operate and clean equipment correctly and safely, adhering to maintenance and cleaning schedules.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times.
  • Supervise Commis Chefs.
  • Control the security of company stock and property.
  • Adhere to all regulations in respect of Health, Safety, Hygiene, Guest Safety, Fire Regulations, Emergency Procedures etc.
  • To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to colleagues.

Other Skills required as Chef de Partie are:

  • Create Enthusiasm: Operating with a good deal of energy, intensity and emotional expression.
  • Follow Procedures: Adopting a systematic and organised approach; preferring to work in a precise, methodical manner; developing and utilising guidelines and procedures.
  • Empathic: Demonstrating an active concern for people and their needs by forming close and supportive relationships with others.
  • Customer Focused: Showing commitment to serving customers' interests.

The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen, is a beautifully maintained historic building situated in the heart of Aberdeen’s West End. Surrounded by the finest bars and restaurants, our city centre location is perfect for travellers of both business and leisure.

With our local cafés, boutiques and street markets, to parks and beaches, our guests will discover a variety of activities and entertainment within walking distance from the hotel.
