Job Title: Cashier
Department: Front of House / Operations
Reports To: Store Manager / Supervisor

Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role involves processing payments, managing the cash register, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and provide a positive checkout experience

  • Process cash, credit, and digital payments accurately

  • Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies

  • Maintain and balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift

  • Handle customer questions, complaints, and basic service requests professionally

  • Ensure pricing and promotions are applied correctly

  • Coordinate with front-of-house and operations teams to ensure smooth service flow

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area

  • Follow company policies, security procedures, and cash-handling standards

  • Support daily operations during peak hours and assist with basic front counter tasks

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus

  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures

  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
